Happy (sorry it's late) Halloween

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great Halloween! I thought I would do a little post to show you all what I did, so here you go. My best friend Lily came round and of course we had to dress up and do our makeup! I decided against doing my half skeleton makeup that I showed you in a previous post and just did dark eyes, white skin and red lips. I attempted to do some fake blood drips from my lips, why did nobody tell me you can't put nail polish on your skin :| woops! I can safely say that I would not advise any of you do this as it really burned and I had to wipe it off pretty quickly. So in the end I used lipstick and then put lipgloss over it to make it look shiny, however this was very sticky so I wiped it off and settled for having on blood drips!

I had carved my pumpkin into a VW capmervan (do you sense a slight obsession?) and it took me forever but I was pretty impressed I managed it! I carved my other pumpkin into jack form the nightmare before Christmas but it seems everybody and their mother did that this year! My brother also did 2 pumpkins that were your typical pumpkin face made from triangles. We also made Halloween chocolates and jelly that we later mashed up and put sweets it which we had to fish out with our mouths lol. We made Halloween skeleton cookies too, however the decorating them part didn't go so well (picture both me and Lily using syringes to try and decorate them) and you can see how they turned out from the photo (the song 'fix you - Coldplay' comes to mind, when you try your best but you don't succeed...' One of the gingerbread men also lost his legs in an unfortunate accident that involved me dropping him on the floor... but fear not I scraped him up and glued him back together with icing!

P.s - we may have got a little ginger kitten the other day (appropriately named Pumpkin) and also a little (well actually it's quite big) bunny rabbit! So expect a post on them soon!

P.P.s - My eyes aren't really brown (obviously) and Lily's aren't blue, but neither of us were allowed contacts :'( So we went for editing them in photoshop instead!

Happy Halloween Bunting - DIY

Make some flag templates by using a diamond shape (I did this on pages on a mac, but you can do it it word/publisher etc), then fill them with different Halloween patterns, I just searched for 'Halloween patterns' on Google images! I then downloaded this font and spelled out 'Happy Halloween' with 1 letter per flag. (I'm sorry I tried to upload the flag documents but blogger won't let me :(, because then you could have all used the same ones, but if anybody wants me to email it to them just let me know and tell me whether you would like it in a format for mac or pc))
You will need scissors, double sided sticky tape or pritt stick, and some string ( I used black for Halloween)
Cut out all of the flag shapes and lay them down in order.
Take a length of string ( I didn't cut mine until I finished as I wasn't sure how long it would be) and fold your flags in half.
Place strips of double-sided sticky tape onto the inside of the flag and peel away the non-sticky paper.
Place your flag under the string and fold the flag in half, keeping the string at the top!
They your flag should look like this, keep going and don't forget to leave a bigger gap between the end of 'Happy' and the start 'Halloween'
You now have your very own handmade Halloween bunting! I hope you like it!
