My new desk space

Having recently had a huge sort out of my bedroom, I decided it was time to tackle my desk this week! I have sorted through my huge collection of notebooks (how have I ended up with so many) and kept everything to a much cleaner minimal look. I have used the adorable owl mug as a pen pot which works so well, and that little felt custard cream is actually a tape measure. The honey reed diffuser makes me want to sit at my desk all day because it smells so delicious!

My room so far...

 I thought I would make a blog post of some photos of my new room. It's nowhere near finished yet, I still have a lot of Sam's stuff in here and a lot of my furniture is still in the spare room, but I thought perhaps you would like to see a half-way there set of photos and then the finished ones at a later date!
It's still quite messy so these are just close ups of some of my favourite parts (that don't show the messy bits) In the first photo you can see a letter A, well I also have a B and a K, but no E. I got them from the charity shop I work out but the person who donated them didn't give us the E (I assume they are meant to spell 'Bake' but I really loved them so I had to buy them, especially as they were only 99p each.

I also wanted to say thankyou so much for 400 followers! I never thought I would have this many when I first started blogging, it's nice to know that people want to read my rambly blog posts and look at the photos :)

Raspberry and Dark Chocolate Muffins

Good afternoon lovelies! I was reading through some blog yesterday and I came across this recipe for Raspberry and white chocolate Muffins on Jade's blog and they looked is delicious. The recipe is originally from Nigella, but I had to adapt it a little as, like Jade, I also didn't have any white chocolate so I used dark chocolate chips instead.

Ingredients:

• 300 grams Plain flour
• 2 teaspoons Baking powder
• 150 grams Golden caster sugar
• 1 Egg
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
• 225 ml Milk
• 50 grams Butter
• 100 grams Raspberries
• 110 grams white chocolate (I used Dark chocolate chips)
• Muffin cases (I recommend floral ones because... well.... I like them :) )

Method:

1. Pre-heat the oven to 200c
2. Cut your Raspberries in half (I used frozen ones os that they didn't break up) and break up your chocolate if you are using a bar.
3. Sift flour and baking powder into large bowl, then Stir the sugar in.
4. Melt the butter in the microwave
5. In a separate bowl (It's easier to use a jug and measure your milk into it first, then add the ingredients to the jug to save using a bowl and a jug!) crack the egg, whisk in the vanilla extract, milk and melted butter. Stir the liquid mixture into the dry mixture.
6. Fold in the Raspberries  and the chocolate, but be gentle so the Raspberries don't get squished.
7. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes (Nigella says 30 minutes, but I found this to be too long.)
