Happy Easter!

Just a quick post today to say Happy Easter to everybody, whatever you may be doing! I'm just having a lazy day, I helped my Mum bake a lemon cake this morning and by help I mean I mixed the butter and sugar together then walked away and got distracted taking photos!

I'm going to spend my day at home lazing around and eating as much Chocolate as I can before my healthy eating starts again, because If you can't eat a chocolate egg for breakfast at Easter then when can you?  I would love to know what you are all doing for Easter so let me know!

When you first took my hand on a cold Christmas Eve

IMG_5616 Good evening lovelies, I am currently listening to 'Fairytale of New York' so hence the title! This weekend we pust up the Christmas decorations. This has made me very excited as Christmas is my favourite time of year. I love baking mince pies, and just generally having the house decorated. I also got my advent calendar on the 2nd december, this took a special trip to Cheshire Oaks as all the local shops had sold out, but alas it is now hung up on my wall in all it's glory!

We decorated the tree on Saturday evening, but this year we can't put any of our pretty glass baubles on it as Daisy ,one of my Cats, likes to eat them! Last year she managed to bite through one so we thought it best not to use them this year. We also had a bit of a disaster with the lights, the lights from last year had stopped working so we got some new ones from B&Q, but they didn't look very nice when we put them on the tree, they were all cold and glary looking (this is why in one photo the light's are white and in another coloured). So then we had to get some coloured ones but this was all they had left that were Cat proof, as they also like to bite through the lights. But at least we have a decorated tree! Oh and it has gaps in the branches because the cats also like to climb it and they have snapped!

I also just wanted to know, do you all like these types of posts where it's photographs mostly of things I have done/ places I have been, or posts more like I used to do about beauty buys and things? Personally I prefer these type of posts as the photography is the part I enjoy most.

IMG_5540 Good evening lovelies, sorry for the lack of posts this week but I have been so busy getting ready for my handamde jewellery sale, photography coursework and just everything in general!

Yesterday I went on a trip to York with my Mum, I had been pestering to go ever since our last trip about a year ago! It is one of my favourite places, it had bubble glass windows, cute little shops that sell bunting and metal hearts decorations, a Cath Kidston, a Joules and just hundreds of tiny adorable shops. I made sure I took my camera with me this time so I could take some photos for my blog. I was going to split this into two posts as there are so many photo's but I like posts with lots of photo's so here you go.

I had the best time, we went to  little cafe to eat when we got there and I had a tuna and cheese focaccia with salad and a hot chocolate. It was absolutley freezing (infact according to my phone when we got up in the morning it was -3c and it never reached over 0c all day!) and it even snowed for us which just made the trip even more special!
